The Importance of Sleep

A human being spends a third of his or her life sleeping, but this recuperative time varies in length from one person to the next. There are some people who feel just fine with four or five hours of sleep, whereas others need ten hours. The quality of one’s sleep is of fundamental importance. Restoring sleep is characterized by its rapid onset and slow and rhythmic breathing; there should be no snoring, nightmares, or waking up during the night.
